The digital photos below are from monthly Arezzo Antiques Fair events in 2024. The images are printed on 17″x22″ Rives Infinity 90# paper and matted to c. 20″x24″ (50cm x 60cm) The images of tableware and dishes are pretty but the best works are of seeming random composition of unrelated items. Any meaning emerges from the accidental connections within the frame.

The digital photos below were made in various Museums in London, Italy, Germany, Paris and the US. They are printed on 10″x13″ Hahnemuhle Photo Luster paper and matted to 12″x16″. The subject is the visual, conceptual or physical interaction of figure to artwork or figure to figure through pose, gesture, expression; shape or color.

These prints below of digital drawings are based on photographs of objects modified in Photoshop. The images are printed on 17″x22″ Rives Infinity 90# paper.

Pencil and colored pencil drawings below were made on a printed, prepared paper, 16″x20″. The compositions were determined by the museums’ positions of objects in various museum displays.

These drawings below, were made by darkening the grid lines with fine point markers, blacking out elevation numbers and taping over text with black paper tape to createa new composition from the previous image. These and the “Drawings on Prepared Paper”, above, and including the “Compositions in Stripes” and the “Digital Drawings on Black” below, are about Drawing as Invented Strategies to make drawings, rather than Drawing as drawing some thing.

The watercors of museum displays are from Archaeology/Natural History Museums in Florence, Faenza, Turin, Perugia, Cortona, Amiens, Vienna; the others from 1980s. Most were done on large BFK Rives heavy papers.

The drawings, diptychs, and triptychs below were made from photos at various museums in Italy and France, done on large BFK Rives heavy papers of various sizes, with pencil, colored pencil and crayons

The compostions below are printed on 90# Rives Infinity paper, 13″x18″ and matted to c. 16″x20″ (50cm x 60cm).
